Our Story

The story of Baramati Agro begins with the visionary ideals of Padmashree Late Dr. Appasaheb Pawar (1906–1981), a noted social revolutionist who dedicated his life to uplifting rural communities through sustainable livelihoods. Though he passed away in 1981, his dream of linking farmers, consumers, and prosperity lived on. In 1988, his family laid the formal foundation of Baramati Agro by incorporating the company and installing the first layer farm — marking the beginning of what started as a poultry-focused initiative.

What began as a humble poultry operation has, over nearly four decades, transformed into one of India’s fastest-growing diversified agri-business conglomerates. Under the dynamic leadership of the next generation, the company has scaled operations, embraced innovation, and diversified across the agri-value chain while staying true to its core values of integrity, entrepreneurship, and inclusive growth.

From a single layer farm in Baramati to a multi-vertical powerhouse with presence across India and exports to multiple countries, our journey reflects resilience, foresight, and an unwavering commitment to empowering the farming community.
