Giving Back to the Communities We Grow With

Baramati Agro Limited believes in “giving rather than only receiving” — CSR is a core strategic commitment, embedded in our business and inspired by the vision of Padmashree Late Dr. Appasaheb Pawar.

Our Philosophy

CSR at Baramati Agro Limited (BAL) is not just a legal obligation or charity — it is a core strategic commitment, embedded in our business operations and inspired by the vision of Padmashree Late Dr. Appasaheb Pawar.

Our mission is to uplift farming communities, foster inclusive growth, and enrich value chains — especially for disadvantaged sections in rural India — while “Linking the Basics” between farmers, consumers, and stakeholders.

CSR Policy & Governance

Our CSR Policy, updated as of 2026, aligns with Section 135 of the Companies Act, 2013 and Schedule VII. The CSR Committee, reconstituted on 24th March 2026, formulates policy, recommends expenditures, prepares annual action plans, and ensures transparent implementation.

Key Focus Areas & Major Initiatives

BAL’s CSR spans education, healthcare, environment, farmer empowerment and community welfare — with a strong emphasis on women, children, farmers and backward communities.

Education & Skill Development

Sharadanagar Education Campus (via Agricultural Development Trust, Baramati) — a 240-acre flagship with 15 institutes and 23 departments educating 35,000+ students from primary school to advanced degrees in agriculture, dairy, pharmacy and more, with focus on economically backward girls and rural youth.

Healthcare & Preventive Care

Free medical camps offering regular check-ups, blood donation drives and specialised curative camps (eye, dental, cataract). Awareness programs cover mother & child care and HIV/AIDS prevention, with disaster relief support during natural calamities.

Environmental Sustainability

Large-scale tree plantation drives distributing native species, solar street lighting in rural areas, watershed development, rainwater harvesting and agroforestry — all driving long-term ecological balance across operational regions.

Farmer Empowerment & Rural Livelihoods

Free soil and water analysis services, advisory support, agri-tourism in association with Agri-Tourism Development Organization, and backward integration through contract farming, fair procurement and knowledge sharing — directly improving farmer incomes.

Community Welfare & Disaster Management

Sanitation and safe drinking water facilities in nearby villages, support for rural and nationally recognised sports, and social change initiatives — including reducing inequalities, supporting dowry-less marriages and community weddings.
